He (husband in TWENTY-FIVE days) made a new website.. lots of new stuff happening. Website, blog, pictures, logo.. So proud of that handsome man.


I got fitted for my wedding dress yesterday.. the lady who will do the wedding dress fixing was rude as can be. I was already questioning my wedding dress choice.. she didn't make it any easier! SHUCKS.
Just hope it fits great.. & hope I get more optimistic about this.. CHEER UP LAKEN.


Jackson (the 5 month old I nanny) just went down for a nap & I'm considering eating fruit loops then following suit. NAP TIME :) (sorry for the scattered thoughts in the post, that's just the way my brain works lately.)

Evan & I have been engaged for 1 month & 20 minutes EXACTLY, right this moment.

3 months until he's my husband! WHOA.

Thanksgiving!

It's so soon & I can hardly wait. That mister of mine, Evan, is coming to spend it with my family & I in Lubbock, TX.. home of the wind & dirt.
But both of my nieces & my nephew will be there.. plus mom & brothers/their family... that's enough for me!

Evan took lots of pictures of me the past week or so.. I can actually say I'm happy with them! I'm a hard lady to please when it comes to pictures of myself, but he did pretty great.






Time to go pick up the kids & take them to karate practice! I'm a "soccer mom" & I don't have my own children or a mini-van! Oh the life of a nanny.

What might have been lost..

So month 4 of living in Dallas has started... & dare I say, it feels like home!
Now now, It's no Ozona, TX but it's comfortable! (much more than San Marcos ever was) I have my two nanny jobs, my mister Evan less than 2 miles down Greenville Ave, & friends close! It's really been a fun time as of yet.. but I miss my family so much! Thanksgiving can't come soon enough.
I need more of my Ozona & Lubbock family in my life!

AAANNNNDDDD I've been going to a church (The Village Church) for almost a year on & off now... but weekly since I moved here & I absolutely adore it. They podcast on iTunes, pleaase give it a listen. So great. God is amazing, & I'm an awful vessel to receive His grace & love but it's wonderful! I can't begin to explain how gracious He's been lately (or always). I'm so blessed. Thank you Lord.
